Features for Productivity

I love using the biggest scanning size and just enable the Automtic Page Size Detection , especially for mixed documents.

I like the Automatic Rotation of Images for documents that are not homogenous when it comes to orientation. A mix of portrait and landscape documents will be handled by the Automatic Rotation of Images mode.

It’s always a nice thing to have colored documents detected automatically. A Canon DR-C225WII offers this function as standard through its driver.

Affraid of manually removing white pages? Don’t be, as the Blank page detection is available with the Canon DR-C225WII.

You will definitely enjoy the Multi image output . It’s a life saver, for clients that are picky with their output

Quality of images

I have seen the Background Smoothing setting improve with every update of the driver, and it is the same case with the Canon DR-C225WII scanner.

I preffer using the Page Margin Cleanup setting for text documents. I would not use it for photos though

Can you trust the Straightening Image totally? Maybe not, but on the Canon DR-C225WII it will work perfectly most of the time.

Hole Punch Removal is a feature that is not present on the Canon DR-C225WII. I would have wished it was available.|Would you get a scanner without the Hole Punch Removal feaure as it is the case with the Canon DR-C225WII.

The Streaks Removal setting is usually installed on more expensive equipment . The device in question does not have Streaks Removal .

Extra Features

When scanning fragile documents, this Manual Feed Mode setting will help you scan safely with the Canon DR-C225WII.

I’ve started indexing through Bar Code Discovery for some time now, most often using QR codes. This scanner has Bar Code Discovery , but check if it’s optional or standard.

On the Canon DR-C225WII the Separate Documents Automatically function is missing. That drops the throughput significantly.

The Optical Character Reading is mandatory on just about any scanner and the Canon DR-C225WII comes as standard with it.

The Canon DR-C225WII does not come with the Zonal OCR feature.
