Thinking of using the Multi image output function? Go ahead, as it is standard on the Canon DR-M140.

Quality of images

While the Background Removal works great with most documents, you should double check documents with images and pictures.

Have you tried using the Document Edge Cleanup for images? If it works correctly for pictures, then keep it enabled on the Canon DR-M140 permanently.

Document Allignment can be done by enabling this setting in the scanner driver. It will only conflict with other special settings on the Canon DR-M140 scanner from time to time, so keep it on.

Black dots on the side of the document? Tick the Hole Punch Removal box and your Canon DR-M140 scanner will fill them automatically.

The Streaks Removal function is often sold on bigger scanners . The scanner in question is missing Streaks Removal .

Extra Features

How good is the Canon DR-M140 for crumpled documents? Just turn on the Feed Paper Manually and check for yourself!

What I love about the Detect Barcodes modules, are the QR code recognition features. It makes for flawless scanning.

Are you currently using the Automatic Separation of Documents ? I really encourage you to try Automatic Separation of Documents with QR codes.

The Optical Character Recognition is mandatory on just about any scanner and the Canon DR-M140 comes as standard with it.

Would you scan forms without the Zonal OCR module? I enjoy the Zonal OCR setting too much not to use it.
