Panasonic KV-S1046C Review | Is it still a great scanner in 2019?

The Panasonic KV-S1046C was a great little document scaner when it was first introduced

With a scanning speed of 45ppm, the small size made it an office favourite, while the scanning software was very advanced for such a small device

We still like this scanner from Panasonic, although you can buy similar scanners from other manufacturers too, which from time to time may be cheaper than the KV-S1046C.

The Panasonic KV-S1046C can proccess documents in different settings in a single job. This is done through the Dual stream scanning option.

Quality of images

The Background Smoothing is a must have feature with any scanner and the Panasonic KV-S1046C scanner has it as standard.

The Page Margin Cleanup helps you by cleaning your scanned scanned documents.

When you have bad quality paper going through the Panasonic KV-S1046C, just keep the Deskew document box active and you should have perfectly alligned pages.

No more black holes on the side of the paper. Now you can cover them during scanning with the Hole Punch Removal option in the Panasonic KV-S1046C driver.

I enjoy using Vertical Streaks Reduction on documents with writing only, but the scanner here does not have this option.

Extra Features

Sometimes I prefer enabling the Manual Feed Mode from the driver, to make sure the Panasonic KV-S1046C will process older documents safely.

Although the Barcode Detection isn’t the only separation method, I recommend you get it.
