Features for Productivity

I love using the biggest scanning size and just enable the Automtic Page Size Detection , especially for mixed documents.

You should use the Automatic Rotation of Images for non specific orientation. The Alaris Kodak i4850 has such a setting and you can set it up in the driver.

One feature I enjoy in the Alaris Kodak i4850 and other machines, is the Auto Color . Try it, and it will definitely change your life.

As you would expect, you can run this scanner with the White page detection . You can enable it from the driver.

Thinking of using the Dual stream scanning function? Go ahead, as it is standard on the Alaris Kodak i4850.

Quality of images

I have seen the Background Smoothing setting improve with every update of the driver, and it is the same case with the Alaris Kodak i4850 scanner.

Have you tried using the Page Margin Cleanup for images? If it works correctly for pictures, then keep it enabled on the Alaris Kodak i4850 permanently.

When you have bad quality paper going through the Alaris Kodak i4850, just keep the Deskew document box active and you should have perfectly alligned pages.

No more black holes on the side of the paper. Now you can cover them during scanning with the Correct Punched Holes option in the Alaris Kodak i4850 driver.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to run the Alaris Kodak i4850 with the Streaks Filtering enabled, especially for standard documents.

Extra Features

How good is the Alaris Kodak i4850 for crumpled documents? Just turn on the Manual Feeding and check for yourself!

I can’t imagine scanning without Detect Barcodes . It really is a good separation or indexing method.

Are you currently using the Automatic Separation of Documents ? I really encourage you to try Automatic Separation of Documents with QR codes.

An Optical Character Recognition is standard with this scanner, as you would expect.
