Features for Productivity
Enable the Automatic Cropping and pages will come out at their original size.I like the Automatic Rotation of Images for documents that are not homogenous when it comes to orientation. A mix of portrait and landscape documents will be handled by the Automatic Rotation of Images mode.
The first productivity feature that we look for is the Auto Color . The Xerox 6710 has this feature and we recommend you use it.
You have probably heard of the Blank document removal setting. Well, it will be available with this scanner so we recommend you enable it.
You will definitely enjoy the MultiStream . It’s a life saver, for clients that are picky with their output
Quality of images
Gone are the days when post processing of documents is required. With the Background Cleaning option, your documents will have a perfect background.Have you tried using the Page Margin Cleanup for images? If it works correctly for pictures, then keep it enabled on the Xerox 6710 permanently.
One of the images processing functions I like is the Document Allignment feature. Use it and you will not be dissapointed.
No more black holes on the side of the paper. Now you can cover them during scanning with the Hole Removal option in the Xerox 6710 driver.
The Streaks Removal function is often sold on more expensive devices . The Xerox 6710 in question does not have Streaks Removal .
Extra Features
Sometimes I prefer enabling the Manual Feeding from the driver, to make sure the Xerox 6710 will process older documents safely.I can’t imagine scanning without Barcode Detection . It really is a good separation or indexing method.
Are you currently using the Auto Document Separation ? I really encourage you to try Auto Document Separation with QR codes.
The OCR is mandatory on just about any scanner and the Xerox 6710 comes as standard with it.
