Features for Productivity

I love using the biggest scanning size and just enable the Automtic Page Size Detection , especially for mixed documents.

You should use the Automatic Rotation of Images for non specific orientation. The Xerox 6460 has such a setting and you can set it up in the driver.

Regarding Document Auto Color Detection , we could not imagine the Xerox 6460 not having it and use not using it.

When was the last time you had to remove blank pages manually? The Xerox 6460 will do this automatically, when you use the Blank document removal function.

It’s still strange to think the Xerox 6460 does not have MultiStream . It’s a bad surprise from my point of view.

Quality of images

With the Xerox 6460 you can expect perfectly clean documents. Just enable the Background Smoothing and let it do its magic.

The Edge Correction helps you by cleaning your scanned scanned documents.

Skew Reduction can be done by enabling this setting in the scanner driver. It will only conflict with other special settings on the Xerox 6460 scanner from time to time, so keep it on.

Perforated Page Correction is a feature that is missing on the Xerox 6460. I would have preffered it was present.|Would you buy a device that is missing the Perforated Page Correction setting as it is the case with the Xerox 6460.

The Streaks Detection function is usually sold on bigger devices . The device we are talking about is missing Streaks Detection.

Extra Features

Can you use the Xerox 6460 to scan really old documents? It should work if you enable the Manual Feed Mode settings.

I can’t imagine scanning without Detect Barcodes . It really is a good separation or indexing method.

On the Xerox 6460 the Automatic Separation of Documents function is not present. That reduces the productivity significantly.

When was the last time you bought a scanner without OCR . A long time ago for sure.

Usually, the Zonal OCR is available either or on expensive scanners or expensive software. The Xerox 6460 is missing this feature.
