I love using the biggest scanning size and just enable the Automatic Cropping , especially for mixed documents.The driver of the the Canon DR-G2110 offers Automatic Rotation of Images , and it is easy to use it.
One feature I enjoy in the Canon DR-G2110 and other machines, is the Automatic Color Detection . Try it, and it will definitely change your life.
When was the last time you had to remove blank pages manually? The Canon DR-G2110 will do this automatically, when you use the Blank document removal function.
The Canon DR-G2110 can proccess documents in different settings in a single job. This is done through the Dual stream scanning option.
Quality of images
With the Canon DR-G2110 you can expect perfectly clean documents. Just enable the Background Removal and let it do its magic.With the Edge Correction on the Canon DR-G2110 scanner, your scanned images will look better than your paper documents
Skew Reduction can be done by enabling this setting in the scanner driver. It will only conflict with other special settings on the Canon DR-G2110 scanner from time to time, so keep it on.
No more black holes on the side of the paper. Now you can cover them during scanning with the Hole Removal option in the Canon DR-G2110 driver.
I really like using Streaks Detection on typed pages, but this device is missing it.
Extra Features
When scanning fragile documents, this Manual Feeding setting will help you scan safely with the Canon DR-G2110.Check if your scanner comes with free Detect Barcodes . If not, buy this option or get another scanner who has it.
As you probably know, Automatic Separation of Documents works with Barcodes or Patchcodes.
An Optical Character Recognition is standard with this scanner, as you would expect.
For predefined forms I preffer the Zonal OCR , just like with other standardized documents.
