I love using the biggest scanning size and just enable the Auto Page Size, especially for mixed documents.I like the Automatic Rotation of Images for documents that are not homogenous when it comes to orientation. A mix of portrait and landscape documents will be handled by the Automatic Rotation of Images mode.
Regarding Automatic Color Detection , we could not imagine the Kodak-Alaris Kodak-i4250 not having it and use not using it.

Quality of images
I have seen the Smooth Background setting improve with every update of the driver, and it is the same case with the Kodak-Alaris Kodak-i4250 scanner.Have you tried using the Document Edge Cleanup for images? If it works correctly for pictures, then keep it enabled on the Kodak-Alaris Kodak-i4250 permanently.
One of the images processing functions I like is the Straightening Image feature. Use it and you will not be dissapointed.
When was the last time you had Hole Punch Removal turned off? Personally, I can’t remember when that was.
If you find streaks on your images, check the Streaks Removal setting. It comes as standard on the Kodak-Alaris Kodak-i4250.
