Features for Productivity

For mixed size documents, I usually set maximum size and let the Auto Page Size do its job.

You should use the Automated Rotation of Documents for non specific orientation. The Alaris Kodak i2620 has such a setting and you can set it up in the driver.

A nice setting to have is the Auto Color . It is enabled or disabled through the driver of the Alaris Kodak i2620 .

When was the last time you had to remove blank pages manually? The Alaris Kodak i2620 will do this automatically, when you use the Blank page detection function.

The Alaris Kodak i2620 can proccess documents in different settings in a single job. This is done through the Dual stream scanning option.


Quality of images

Remember the time when you had to use photoshop for scans? Especially on the Alaris Kodak i2620 the Background Cleaning is an image enhancement feature you should use.

I preffer using the Document Edge Cleanup setting for text documents. I would not use it for photos though

Straightening documents automatically is possible with the Alaris Kodak i2620 . Luckily, the Skew Reduction feature will allign most images quite well.

No more black holes on the side of the paper. Now you can cover them during scanning with the Correct Punched Holes option in the Alaris Kodak i2620 driver.

Let’s be honest, keping the Alaris Kodak i2620 perfectly clean all the time can be challenging. The Streaks Removal setting optimizes scanning results between cleaning cycles.


Extra Features

Should you use the Feeding Paper by Hand mode with this machine? I would say it works well on the Alaris Kodak i2620 scanner.

Check if your scanner comes with free Barcode Detection . If not, buy this option or get another scanner who has it.

Auto Separation is one of those features I really like playing with. Currently, for Auto Separation I still find patch codes reliable.

The Optical Character Reading is mandatory on just about any scanner and the Alaris Kodak i2620 comes as standard with it.
