Features for Productivity

For mixed size documents, I usually set maximum size and let the Automtic Page Size Detection do its job.

You should use the Automatic Rotation of Images for non specific orientation. The Kodak Alaris S2070 has such a setting and you can set it up in the driver.

It’s always a nice thing to have colored documents detected automatically. A Kodak Alaris S2070 offers this function as standard through its driver.

When was the last time you had to remove blank pages manually? The Kodak Alaris S2070 will do this automatically, when you use the Blank page detection function.

The Kodak Alaris S2070 can proccess documents in different settings in a single job. This is done through the MultiStream option.

Quality of images

Remember the time when you had to use photoshop for scans? Especially on the Kodak Alaris S2070 the Smooth Background is an image enhancement feature you should use.

Have you tried using the Page Margin Cleanup for images? If it works correctly for pictures, then keep it enabled on the Kodak Alaris S2070 permanently.

Document Allignment can be done by enabling this setting in the scanner driver. It will only conflict with other special settings on the Kodak Alaris S2070 scanner from time to time, so keep it on.

Perforated Page Correction is interesting to use as it provides you with clean images on the perforated side.

The Streaks Detection setting is most often delivered on higher end devices . The device we are reviewing here does not have Streaks Detection.

How good is the Kodak Alaris S2070 for crumpled documents? Just turn on the Feed Paper Manually and check for yourself!

What I love about the Detect Barcodes modules, are the QR code recognition features. It makes for flawless scanning.

Are you currently using the Auto Document Separation ? I really encourage you to try Auto Document Separation with QR codes.

An OCR is standard with this scanner, as you would expect.

Would you scan forms without the OCR Predefined Zone module? I enjoy the OCR Predefined Zone setting too much not to use it.
