Fujitsu fi-7700S | Flatbed and ADF | #1 Reason Not to Buy it

The Fujitsu Fi 7700S is a simplex only scanner, that has both an ADF and a flatbed scanning unit

Its scanning speed can reach values of up to 100ppm, and it will work automatically even for thicker stock cards

It’s a great alternative when you have projects that require simplex scanning, but it’s a scanner targeted only for such projects, not for general scanning.

Quality of images

Remember the time when you had to use photoshop for scans? Especially on the Fujitsu fi-7700S the Smooth Background is an image enhancement feature you should use.

I preffer using the Edge Correction setting for text documents. I would not use it for photos though

One of the images processing functions I like is the Skew Reduction feature. Use it and you will not be dissapointed.

Hole Removal is interesting to use as it provides you with clean images on the perforated side.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to run the Fujitsu fi-7700S with the Vertical Streaks Reduction enabled, especially for standard documents.

Extra Features

Should you use the Feed Paper Manually mode with this machine? I would say it works well on the Fujitsu fi-7700S scanner.

I can’t imagine scanning without Detect Barcodes . It really is a good separation or indexing method.

Always check if the Auto Separation is free on the scanner. I have seen some manufacturers selling the barcode option.

I can’t imagine this scanner without the OCR setting, as I tend to use it quite a lot these days.

The Field Indexing is very popular with users and comes as standard on the Fujitsu fi-7700S scanner.
