The Epson ES-50 is probably the best receipt scanner and organizer for a low-budget. If the ADS-1700W receipt scanner has everything you need, this scanner is limited to the essentials and the price is almost 3 times smaller. But it still has an image resolution of 600 dpi and a 24-bit RGB color depth so it will produce vivid colors. The materials used are high-quality and the scanner feels solid.

The best thing about it is that it weighs 6 times less than the ADS-1700W so it is very easy to carry around on-the-go. It is also a very compact mobile scanner, but that is because it doesn’t have an Automatic Feeder tray or duplex scanning. The Fujitsu IX100 is a similar receipt scanner to the ES-50. It was made to be the low-cost version of the S1300i. But it has a big advantage and that it has wireless connectivity. Like the Epson, there is no ADF tray nor is it a single-pass duplex scanner. The number of pixels that the CIS sensor can output is the same, 600 DPI and the RGB color depth for color and grayscale is the same. But it does come with the ScanSnap interface and software which is very powerful. If you have other scanners from the same ecosystem, it will integrate perfectly. The reason the IX100 is one of the best receipt scanners is its tight integration with the ScanSnap ecosystem. The speed is more or less the same, this receipt scanner is able to scan at 11 images per minute.

From the point of view of mobility, it weighs 0.88 lb, so it is heavier than the Epson but still very light for a handheld scanner. The S1300i is the direct contender to the Brother ADS-1700W and the title of best receipt scanner. It was built with heavy duty work in mind. But the main difference is that this scanner is that it doesn’t have a wireless connection. The Fujitsu is also slower, even though it also has duplex scanning.

You can scan 24 documents and receipts per minute with this scanner.
