The Epson DS-70 has fast scan speeds at up to 11 images per minute, even though it’s not a duplex scanner. This is a good speed and is on par with other scanners in its price category. The scanner accommodates formats up to A4, so this scanner will be able to cover most of your documents. The resolution is a standard 600dpi optical, more than enough for high-quality photos.
It has a USB 2.0 connection as there’s no wi-fi on the device, unfortunately. But there’s good news, the scanner comes with TWAIN drivers, so you can integrate the device with more scanning applications, not just the ones offered by the manufacturer. When the scanner connects to your computer through USB, no batteries or external power supply is needed because it charges from the computer via the usb cable and via the USB port.
