The Auto Page Size is a setting that still amazes me today. It works very well with the Alaris Kodak i4650 scanner.

I like the Automatic Rotation of Images for documents that are not homogenous when it comes to orientation. A mix of portrait and landscape documents will be handled by the Automatic Rotation of Images mode.

It’s always a nice thing to have colored documents detected automatically. A Alaris Kodak i4650 offers this function as standard through its driver.

You have probably heard of the Blank document removal setting. Well, it will be available with this scanner so we recommend you enable it.

The Alaris Kodak i4650 can proccess documents in different settings in a single job. This is done through the Multi image output option.


Quality of images

The Background Cleaning is a must have feature with any scanner and the Alaris Kodak i4650 scanner has it as standard.

Have you tried using the Edge Correction for images? If it works correctly for pictures, then keep it enabled on the Alaris Kodak i4650 permanently.

Skew Reduction can be done by enabling this setting in the scanner driver. It will only conflict with other special settings on the Alaris Kodak i4650 scanner from time to time, so keep it on.

For standard documents, I always have the Correct Punched Holes setting turned on in the driver.

If you find streaks on your images, check the Streaks Filtering setting. It comes as standard on the Alaris Kodak i4650.


Extra Features

When scanning fragile documents, this Feed Paper Manually setting will help you scan safely with the Alaris Kodak i4650.

Although the Barcode Recognition isn’t the only separation method, I recommend you get it.

Auto Separation is one of those features I really like playing with. Currently, for Auto Separation I still find patch codes reliable.

The Optical Character Reading is mandatory on just about any scanner and the Alaris Kodak i4650 comes as standard with it.

For predefined forms I preffer the Field Indexing , just like with other standardized documents.
