It is capable of scanning A4 documents. It can scan documents up to a maximum size of 8.5 in. x 60 in. This means that it can scan documents that are as long as 60 inches (1.52 meters). This may not be outstanding but considering it is a portable scanner, it is satisfactory It has a high optical resolution of 600 dpi. Features for Productivity
Kodak ScanMate i940 is a duplex scanner. This means that you only have to pass the sheet of paper once through the scanner and it will scan both sides. This is a great feature, especially when scanning a lot of double-sided documents.
This scanner does offer Automatic Color Detection. You will, therefore, need to change the color settings before scanning. It, however, does come with automatic Image Rotation. It can detect if the image is upside down and automatically adjusts it.
It also offers Automatic Image Cropping. This ensures that the scanner can tell how big an image is and crop it automatically to remove any unwanted lines and spots on the edges.
While a document may have a clean background to the naked eye, when you scan it, the background might not look clean. Most scanners offer Background Removal to help clean the background.
