What’s so special about it?

IRIScan is wireless, battery-powered and compact, the IRIS IRIScan Anywhere 3 Cordless Scanner enables on-the go users to easily capture information from all kinds of documents when away from their personal computer. Ideal for today’s mobile mode of life, it turns document management into a piece of cake. The sheet of paper is simply zipped through the cordless and lightweight A4 scanner and the scanned image is then either saved in the built-in memory, on an SD Card or on a standard USB key. Once back at home or in the office yu just simply insert the SD card into your computer and the scanned documents are automatically processed by I.R.I.S’ flagship OCR software Readiris 14 and exported to the Cloud (Evernote Google Drive, Dropbox, SkyDrive, iCloud, etc).

1.Images per Minute : IRIScan has a power to scan 12 images per minute. This is highest speed according to price of this scanner.

2.Format : IRIScan supports A4 size papers. Most of the documents prepared with A4 size so you can easily scan your document with IRIScan.

3.Resolution : IRIScan offers 600 dpi(dots per inch).A scanner capable of 400dpi is very good, and one that can also go up to 600dpi can provide an excellent scanning resolution.

4.Connectivity : IRIScan can be connected over wifi or USB cable.It offers usb 2.0 which shows its compatibility with every computer. IRIScan can be connected with smartphones with its wifi compatibility.

5.Interface: The driver interface is very important for developers. IRIScan doesn’t use TWAIN, WIA, ICA driver support and even not Native Driver Interface.

6.Max. document size: IRIScan offer maximum document size of 8.5 x 11.7 (297mm x 210mm), which is most commonly used by companies.

7.Sensor type : IRIScan use CMOS sensor technology to scan documents.

Features for Productivity

1.Duplex Scanning : IRIScan doesn’t support this feature. It can scan only one side of paper at a time.

2.Automatic Color Detection: IRIScan can automatically detect color of the document, so you don’t have to waste time on manually selecting color settings. It’s a great feature when you have mixed color documents, and you don’t want to manually change between settings. While this setting is not bulletproof, it will work 95% of the time.

3.Automatic Image Rotation : Automatically image rotation is not supported by IRIScan, but you can rotate it manually.

4.Automatic Image Cropping : IRIScan has the feature of automatically cropping images.Documents are not always A4 or A3. Therefore, scanners offer this function so that you can scan the entire surface, and the driver of the scanner automatically detects the size of your document and crops the scan accordingly.

5.Background Removal : IRIScan has the ability to remove backgrounds of your document, and you can change backgrounds easily .

Quality of images

1.Automatic Deskew : IRIScan can align the documents that are not aligned Because of dirty feed rollers or the fact that the operator has not alligned the document correctly, sometimes documents are not scanned straight. Therefore, this features works like an algorith that calculates automatically the correct allignment of the paper and alligns it accordingly.

2.Punch Hole Removal : IRIScan doesn’t support this feature.

3.OCR included : IRIScan support OCR feature. Ocr ( Optical Character recognition ) takes each image and creates a searchable document from that image, most of the cases in PDF or Word. It can also be used to create Excel files, ebooks etc..
