Some of them are A4 Fujitsu scanners and some will be able to go over this size, and scan in A3
I might add that Fujtisu doesn’t build scanners with photo scanning as a purpose, rather their scanners provide good scanning quality so you can also scan photos with them.

We will first look at the Fujitsu FI 7160 document scanner and see how good it is to scan photos. First of all, it has an automatic document feeder which makes it perfect to scan larger volumes of documents or photos.
None of the 3 scanners were built to be an all-out photo scanner, but all do a great job at it.
For example, the straight paper path of this FI 7160 makes it perfect to put the least amount of pressure on the integrity of your photos or pictures.
The transport is safe enough, and you should not get jamming frequently. Do not totally rely on the safety of the scanning. You could try and use a higher resolution which will automatically slow down the scanning but prevent major jams.
The quality of the scanning is really good. I guess the CCD combined with the dual point light system makes for high-quality images from your pictures.
It’s probably a good investment if you are only scanning photos and won’t scan other documents with it.

I must point out from the start that this scanner has the same ADF unit as the Fi 7160. Practically they have attached a flatbed scanner to the Fi 7160 making it even more versatile.
Everything that you can’t scan with the FI 7160 you should be able to scan on the flatbed unit of this model. This includes crumpled or torn photos, bad condition photos, or even documents that jam when scanning them through the ADF unit.
Speed-wise, just like the FI 7160, you can scan around 60 pages in simplex mode and 120 images when you scan duplex. This means that in ideal circumstances you should get around 60 photos every minute.
Still, I would recommend setting a higher resolution both for quality improvements and making the feeding process more reliable.
This scanner is definitely our choice from Fujitsu when scanning photos. It’s not the cheapest but it’s way cheaper than the FI 7700 model.

This is the daddy of big scanners. It’s not the fastest scanner in the market, it does not have the largest ADF, but my guess that pound for pound you can’t do much better.
Even for photos, the quality of the images is superb. The Paperstream IP driver works with different image settings. For most photos, you can set it to the normal image setting. This should provide very good results.
If your images look too dark, then set it to Bright, and the images will come out with better luminosity. For every photo, you can find a setting, and sometimes even the automatic one will work just fine.
Besides that, the feeding mechanism is very good and you can switch between manual feeding and automatic feeding by using a simple knob. It’s very efficient and your batches of photos will be scanned effortlessly.
Last but not least, it also has a flatbed unit, which goes a bit over A3 in size. It allows you to scan fragile photos and pictures and you can switch between the ADF and the flatbed unit in the same job, without much effort.
The only downside to this machine is the price. Just for photos, you should not spend that amount. But if you already have to scan large quantities of documents, this is a very flexible choice between standard documents and photos.
