We love the DR-G2 series and the Canon Imageformula DR-G2090 model is no exception

Features for Productivity
Enable the Auto Page Size and pages will come out at their original size.I like the Auto Image Rotate for documents that are not homogenous when it comes to orientation. A mix of portrait and landscape documents will be handled by the Auto Image Rotate mode.
A nice setting to have is the Document Auto Color Detection . It is enabled or disabled through the driver of the Canon DR-G2090.
When was the last time you had to remove blank pages manually? The Canon DR-G2090 will do this automatically, when you use the White page detection function.
Thinking of using the MultiStream function? Go ahead, as it is standard on the Canon DR-G2090.
Quality of images
Remember the time when you had to use photoshop for scans? Especially on the Canon DR-G2090 the Background Cleaning is an image enhancement feature you should use.Sometimes the Document Edge Cleanup function might not work correctly. For the Canon DR-G2090 with colored images.
When you have bad quality paper going through the Canon DR-G2090, just keep the Deskew document box active and you should have perfectly alligned pages.
No more black holes on the side of the paper. Now you can cover them during scanning with the Hole Removal option in the Canon DR-G2090 driver.
I preffer using Streaks Detection on documents with writing only, but this device is missing it.
Extra Features
Sometimes I prefer enabling the Manual Feeding from the driver, to make sure the Canon DR-G2090 will process older documents safely.What I love about the Detect Barcodes modules, are the QR code recognition features. It makes for flawless scanning.
As you probably know, Separate Documents Automatically works with Barcodes or Patchcodes.
An Optical Character Recognition is standard with this scanner, as you would expect.
For predefined forms I preffer the Field OCR , just like with other standardized documents.
