Your batch of documents has different sized documents? The Automtic Page Size Detection will sort that for you.I like the Automatic Rotation of Images for documents that are not homogenous when it comes to orientation. A mix of portrait and landscape documents will be handled by the Automatic Rotation of Images mode.
Regarding Auto Color , we could not imagine the Epson DS-70000 not having it and use not using it.
I can’t imagine running a scanner without the Blank page detection . This setting is mandatory on just about any machine and it is available on the Epson DS-70000.
As you’d imagine, the MultiStream is featured in the Epson DS-70000 driver settings. It can be a life saver some of the times.
Quality of images
While the Background Cleaning works great with most documents, you should double check documents with images and pictures.Sometimes the Image Edge Fill function might not work correctly. For the Epson DS-70000 with colored images.
One of the images processing functions I like is the Deskew document feature. Use it and you will not be dissapointed.
No more black holes on the side of the paper. Now you can cover them during scanning with the Hole Removal option in the Epson DS-70000 driver.
I preffer using Streaks Removal on text documents, but the Epson DS-70000 is missing it.
Extra Features
When scanning fragile documents, this Manual Feeding setting will help you scan safely with the Epson DS-70000.I can’t imagine scanning without Bar Code Discovery . It really is a good separation or indexing method.
Always check if the Auto Document Separation is free on the scanner. I have seen some manufacturers selling the barcode option.
I can’t imagine this scanner without the Optical Character Reading setting, as I tend to use it quite a lot these days.
Would you scan forms without the Field OCR module? I enjoy the Field OCR setting too much not to use it.
